Do you feel as if you are up to your
assets in alligators?
The phrase "our people are our most important
asset" is a well-worn shibboleth that has lost much of its
meaning over the years, because companies have failed to make
the best use of that asset.
No
company can function without people, but people are much more
than the hands of the enterprise. For maximum effect they need
to be its head and heart too. But how do you do that?
An
enterprise loses momentum, like any body in motion, through
friction. In the case of a company it's friction within and
between its systems and friction within and between its people.
Both
can be changed.
Your first success has been recognising the
need for assistance.
Your second is having the good sense to call for it.
