Are you looking for an improved you,
but feel in need of a stronger light?
Working on becoming fitter can sometimes
result in occasional disappointment, discouragement and
disbelief. It can even seem quite lonely, while buddying with a
friend can sometimes mean carrying them as well. However, if you have experienced a
temporary setback, or just think you may do if you try, it
doesn't mean you should either give up on your goals, or not
bother setting any.
At the point where you find there's
outcome gap between actual and aspiration, it is helpful to
remember that progress is a series of ups and downs; it is by no
means all plain sailing. Treat any experience, good or bad, as
an opportunity to learn and even an apparent shortfall is
welcomed as a gift. Now you know yourself better. How bad can
that be?
Now is your opportunity. Draw out the lessons from the past. Set
some more short-term, some intermediate or some more appropriate
goals and move on. Even on the right track, you will still get
run over if you just sit there. So, your immediate goal may
simply be to do the best you can today

and that's OK.
Knowing that
challenges will come and being in the best position to handle
them could not be easier.
