Would you like to turn an underused
muscle into your next stepping stone?
If the biggest difference between performing
and just showing up comes down to preparation, then shouldn't
you be giving equal weight to mental and physical routines? Most
athletes agree that their state of mind plays a pivotal role in
peak performance. But a disproportionately small amount of time
is given to this aspect of performance when training.
Simply learning the relevant
mental skills is not enough. They must be combined with the rest
of the training and assist the athlete in sticking to the
requirements of their programme. If you want your mind to be
part of delivering your success, you must commit to using it as
much as the rest of your body.
If you put in the effort,
you will certainly see the rewards.
We know that athletes often
fail to stick to their mental training because of poor time
management and fuzzy priorities.
In your dreams
works with you to
find the space,
time and tools to break out of this self-perpetuating cycle and
build you mind as you would your body. In combination, it's a
great team.
Your first success has been recognising the
need for assistance.
Your second success is having the good sense to call for
it.
